Our journey to the Maasai Mara will commence early in the morning after the most important meal of the day. We will drive through the Great Rift Valley escarpment, then across plains where you will see Maasai herdsmen grazing their large herds of cattle. Also, we will find great photography backgrounds along the road, highlighting the broad umbrella acacias and expansive wheat fields. We’ll arrive at Maasai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch at the camp or lodge. An evening of a shared game drive will follow, as we map out routes and build expectations for the two days of full exploration. At dusk, we will return to the lodge for meals and refreshments.

Two days at the Maasai Mara is a gem, it can’t get any better than this as each day the Mara has its share of surprises!! The Mara is one of the leading tourist destinations, not just in Kenya but in the whole of Africa, it is famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration that happens between July and October. Also, this is the best place in Kenya to spot the Big Five in one drive alongside other wild animals like the crocodiles, Oribi, hippopotamus, Buffaloes, cheetah Leopards, hyenas, antelopes, Maasai giraffes, and warthogs. Expect mind-blowing wildlife behaviors; survival behaviors of herbivores, hunting strategies of predators, defense mechanisms, foraging behaviors, communication behaviors, among others.

Ask anything regarding the wildlife to the tour guide that will be with you. Make this trip educational as much as it is for fun. The drive will end at dusk where you will be taken back to the lodge for the first night of the Kenyan Honeymoon Experience. Day 2 will have the same route plan but I assure you the experience will be very different. Hence make it count, have as much fun, bond with other visitors, and have a good time. Optional activities include the memorable balloon ride, nature walks, Cultural visits. Mara is also home to hundreds of birds which include a good number of Raptors.

Your flight will be waiting in the morning to take you the next destination, Diani beach. Just in case you have not had enough of the Mara, the driver might be generous enough to take you for a morning tour, but this is not mandatory. After packing, you will be guided to the airstrip, and up you go. You will be flown over the Great Rift Valley and briefly land in the city in the sun in time for lunch at the Carnivore restaurant. Take a breather because the next stop is Diani. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Pinewood beach resort for your beach extension.

Breakfast will be served at the luxury beach spa or elsewhere as per your wish. Of course, you don’t need anyone guiding your step on the gorgeous beaches of Diani. For the next three days take your ample time to enjoy each other’s company, rub and massage yourselves on the sand. Do the infamous sand burying, just beware of the crabs. It’s your moment, make it count!! Also, you will have a wide range of fun activities to engage in at the beach like snorkeling, scuba diving, a dhow tour or you may just choose to relax at the beach. Meals, drinks, and other refreshments will be served at pleasure in this laissez-faire environment.
