Located close to Kampala as well as Bwindi Impenetrable and Queen Elizabeth National Parks, Lake Mburo is a popular playground where activities that are often forbidden within national parks can be enjoyed. Walking safaris, horseback safaris, and even quad-biking are available within the park.
The park is home to three of the Big Five (elephants and rhinos are absent), and is especially good for spotting a variety of antelope species including the Ugandan kob and the endangered sitatunga antelope. The lake from which the park gets its name is good for both sports fishing and relaxing boat ride.
